Should have been emphasised from the start. London is now the cesspit of Covid and London workers travelling ‘home’ to all corners of the U.K. is only going to exacerbate the negative impacts of household mixing. This spread of people combined with the household mixing is a deadly combination, literally. Have this government learnt nothing from University students going to their cities of study?
 


Nobody should be meeting in houses this year. Massive mistake.

No idea why people would travel or people would need to be told to not travel. Are people really this thick/selfish?

News organisations all week have been having a ‘ask questions to our expert’ kind of feature and many have been ‘should I travel to see family on the 22nd or the 23rd’, so there seems to be an acceptance this is going to happen. I reckon tens of thousands will be departing from London train stations (the current hotbed of Covid) to all areas of the U.K. over the next few days. People will only realise how big a mistake it was around New Year’s Day.
