A few players out tomorrow.

McGeady and O'Nien (perhaps) are the major additions. They are a loss, without doubt.
It was all about when with them two. O’Nien is lucky to have lasted this long and McGeady seems to have been playing with injuries for the last 3 years.

both losses, definitely.

So when a journalist says “is anyone injured?” He should just sit there in silence?
He shouldn’t name names. Why alert the opposition?

He also shouldn’t play people who aren’t fully fit as it leads to long term absences. Our current injury list is ridiculous, even allowing for the fact it’s obvious all teams will have some players injured at any given time.

Well given Mcgeady is out for a long time he’s going to have to name him at some point. It makes no difference.

Why are people talking about Under 23s? We have 14 players available, even if O'Nien is out, who have played in more than 50% of our games this season.

GK: Hoffmann
Def: Wright, Doyle, Flanagan
Def / Mid: Winchester, Neil, Gooch
Mid: Pritchard, Embleton, Evans
FW: Stewart, O'Brien, Dajaku, Broadhead

Add in Alves (on loan from West Ham), 22 year old Oliver Younger, and Burge / Patterson, and we have 17 regular first teamers available.
We might have 17 first teamers available, but we have have no full backs, and 2 conventional wingers (one of whom will probably be playing full back).

He might be struggling at the moment, but one thing LJ got spot on in the presser was the need to have as many round pegs in round holes as possible and it’s proving difficult with the available first teamers - we need to either bring in the likes of Dyce at LB or switch to 3/5 at the back with Gooch and Winch as wingbacks

He's got no choice but to play 3-5-2 and it may just be the lucky break he needs. He avoided picking Sanderson last year till he had no choice.
Shame his centre forward is a shirker

My point is that we have no need to play the Under 23s as some people have been saying. And saying we have 'no full backs' is a bit of a stretch.

Winchester has played full back in almost every game this season, and played right back for other clubs too.
Flanagan played full back for a full season at Burton, and as a left sided centre back for much of his time here.
We were winning games earlier in the season with Neil at left back.
Gooch, Alves, Younger and Doyle have all played at full back.
Or he could promote one Under 23 (like Dyce).
Or he could change formation.

We've also got plenty of players who can play wide - Gooch, Pritchard, Dajaku, Embleton, Broadhead, O'Brien. Some of them may not be 'conventional wingers' but how many teams play with two 'conventional wingers'? We certainly haven't been, even with everyone fit.

Yeah, we've got some injuries, especially full backs, but we certainly won't be putting a team of Under 23s out, and there is no reason whatsoever why we shouldn't be going there and looking for the win.

Haven't we had this pretty much all season? Off the top of my head, Cirkin, Huggins, Burge, Xjemajli, Hume, Willis were all out on Tuesday and Stewart, O9 and McGeady played whilst carrying injuries, Gooch, Broadhead, Dajaku and Evans coming back from injury. Anyone I've missed? Having 7-8 injured has been the normal for most of the season.
And is normal for most teams at this level. Our problem is we have no depth and pathetic squad balance

This is rapidly descending into a nightmare, he now has an excuse as to why he shouldn’t be relieved of his duties. I hope we win tomorrow but if we don’t win I would rather get hammered than limp to a draw, and hopefully then KLD would surely to goodness get rid of him.
