A disgrace to the shirt

Loads of threads about certain players has set me thinking about how many players with a terrible attitude have played for our club.

Not talking about players of limited ability or even dodgy signings but players whose attitude/ behaviour has been a disgrace to SAFC.

My list starts with
1. Rodwell
2. Kone
3. N'dong
4. Stubbs
5. Bardsley (laughing at our defeat to Fulham rather than the casino story)
6. Chopra
7. Bent
8. Curran
9. Chimbonda
10. Gibson
11. Januzaj

Any more? Sure there must be loads but these were the first 11 I could think of.

You thought of Chimbonda ahead of Johnson?

an the eve of our exciting new beginning you post this negative tripe. concentrate on the future man

Lee Clark was a great player for us it's unfortunate that he got dragged into something that got out of his control. We didn't have it in our selves to forgive what happened, more fool us.
He was class. Very silly boy for what he did. He did it to force Reid’s hand iirc from an interview years later. Asked to leave prior to the incident and Reidy told him he was going nowhere.

That’s always been my belief wether he admitted it or not. On the balance of probabilities......

Not having Bardsley on there like.
Not having Bent on there, either.

Kelvin Davis.

Although the slapstick comedy trio of Camp, Ruiter and Steele run him close.
Davis was shit for us apart from one game away at Man United, but we managed to get a million quid back for him - which was probably Niall Quinn’s greatest achievement.

The three from last season were far worse than him.

Think he went into reids office and Trudy had company and wouldn’t really listen to him. Saw the opportunity full of drink. Rest is history.

I've read a few interviews with him over the years and that isn't what he said happened. Here's one from 2017:

Lee Clark: 'It’s difficult to go back after that T-shirt'

"After we had won the title I went to see the manager and said it’s time to move on because I knew I would have to come up against Newcastle in the Premier League and I couldn’t do it, not for Sunderland against Newcastle. The fans should always have players who give 100 per cent and I couldn’t do that. People might think it [the T-shirt] was premeditated, but it wasn’t."
