Central Defender
My Epson 1290 printer finally gave up the ghost yesterday, so after searching the internet reviews decided I would go for an Epson 1400.
Prints A3+ at an afordable price.
As I only live a few hundred yards from PC World I went to have a look at one to check them out.
In store price £269. Inks £15 each x6.
Thats a total of £359
Tried to get the salesman to give some discount for cash but he wouldn't budge on the price.

Came home and looked at PC Worlds web site and the same printer was advertised at £169.
Bought with a full set of Epson inks, £223 the bundle.
Order on line and pick up at the store.

Went up this morning and saved £136.

Nice one.

I have an R2400 that uses 9 inks (black, light black, light light black, Yellow, light yellow, cyan, light cyan, magenta, light magenta). I'll be interested to see the results from 6 inks.

Only tried a couple of small scanned family photos up to now but the Claria ink appear to give a more natural skin tone and matches the colours on the monitor.
