Maybe my kids are just rough with theirs, but we've been through three sets of joycons. All of them have developed stick drift and a couple struggle to stay connected to the screen when in handheld mode.

I've extended their longevity a bit with some contact cleaner but Im still looking at a fourth set or another pro controller...

the drifting is a known fault resulting in lawsuits I think. We have original switch and the later grey one and they both drift
