Just had a link pop up on Facebook telling me it's 50 years since The Small Faces entered the charts with Itchycoo Park.

It made me think first bloody hell where did the time go, but then how lucky some of us were to grow up in that musical era.

So fill yer boots lads and lasses...

Loved Stevie M especially on Lazy Sunday and Tin Soldier (not the poster).

Bit longer than 50yrs ago but the tune of the 60s will always be Shakin' All Over, for me. Recorded in 1960 it just set the template for feel, sound and general vibe. That decade started as it meant to go one and I wish I'd been born ten years before I was.

Pete Townshend played bass on this song.

I didn't know that. I've just looked on wiki and that's an interesting back story.

Watched a Who documentary on Sky Arts recently. Townsend was/is a seriously talented bloke but came across as a bit of an all round twat.

30th September

I remember it like it was yesterday.

Came at the end of an eye-openingly interesting summer for me.

Part of my soundtrack:
