6 games 4 defeats

Summer up earlier in this thread.

Parkinson was uninspiring. Not just for us. But the players as well.

Do the players look disinterested? Guess who's job it is to motivate them.

Manager not performing? Who appointed him.

If that had been the case since he took over how come we are creating more chances, stopping the opposition having as many chances and having more successful pass percentages?
Surely they would've gotten worse if it players were trying less now?

How come no one gave a shit about cup competitions under Ross when it made his record look better overall amongst the draws, but two under Parkinson where he's tried things out and changed the team around are justification for a moan and to claim hes shite?

And are people really saying the players look uninterested?

One of those cup games we were the better side against a team that had won 3-0 and more lots of times this season. If it wasn't for shit refereeing and the post we'd have won and deservedly so I stead of just drawing it

Oh we were the better side. Excellent.

Did we win?

shhh Ross lost his most important games, and failed to win far too many others. shhh no one actually wanted Phil to replace him. shhh blah blah agenda shhh.

Shhh Ross always did better in his second season, should have gave him longer shhhh rash decision, hounded out by the fans blah blah blah

Alloa Athletic:
- Season 1 - 11%
- Season 2 - 63%

St. Mirren:
- Season 1 - 32%
- Season 2 - 64%

Sunderland:
- Season 1 - 48%
- Season 2 - TBD

The next league performance could really do with being a good one. Until last night I think most would have agreed we seem to be on at the very least a slight upward curve since the managerial change, regardless of team and competition, last night's apparent apathy has put a dent on that.

Jack Ross combined win % over both seasons at Sunderland combined
25 May 2018
8 October 2019
7538271050.67

Would you look at that - looks like a 2.67% increase on the year before, was on his way to continuing his normal trend of improving second season.

Didn't deserve the sack and the fans can reep what they sowed, idiots the lot of them

adding in his season to date you could suggest he has sorted his first season problem, not sure what else.

In reality what we saw last night and in the next 2 cup games as we saw at Oxford will be experiments for PP. This ‘cup break’ is kind of his pre season. The results are absolutely irrelevant. Indeed, better in the long run to be out of all the cups. What I hope is that PP through these experiments in meaningless games does 2 things.
1: Get his 1st team preference sorted and clear in is head.
2: Get his buy and sell list ready and start working on it.
Then get back to winning in the league.

What a load of nonsense. Stop making excuses.

He said himself he wanted to win and had been told by the board he was expected to do well in this cup because it raised an extra 1m getting to the final last year.

So many far fetched theories when the reality is he isn't a very good manager. It's as simple as that.

Errrmmm. Ross got to a final and Parky has managed two wins (against the worst teams in the league) in six, losing the other games.

It's not the cups people care about per se. It's the fact getting humiliated by a bunch of kids does not bode well for us or the bloke we've put in charge.

His start has been shocking and people seem to want to pretend otherwise.

I think it is crazy to sack someone who lost so few games.

Draws can be worked on, at least give hi until December and if we're not looking good enough pull the trigger.

Why give him another season then sack him so soon into it, can only think the board panicked as the fans turned on him but they should have been stronger than that. A large proportion of fans have no idea about football, some of the conversations you hear people having in the pub and on the terraces is nothing short of embarrassing.
