6 Easy Points - Mags vs Sun'Lun Supercut analysis

Aha, so an auto copyright strike.
Just a PITA then..as I doubt they'd be arsed to mobilise legally against you, or see you as a trophy win. I'd imagine a class action against every YTuber would make them an enemy of the sport and even then they'd probably just advise cease and desist?

I guess if you wanted to protect yourself you could have a limited company as a firewall.
That's a good idea. How would I go about that?

Not sure if this is helpful but you can (or at least you could a few years ago) post Youtube videos as a private video that can’t be found via searching and won’t be suggested on people’s home pages etc

Only those with the link can see it.

You could then share the link on here?

Basically means setting up a business.

You'd only do that for tax or protection reasons if you had real revenues and / or had properly assessed the risk to you personally as beyond your appetite.

My gut feeling is that you maybe overstating the risk of legal action.

Even with revenues, a business is a hassle and could take away your enjoyment / motivation and you'd need an accountant.

Little story..

I recently advised a club that was wanting to become a business to protect the personal assets of trustees from multi year contracts.

Turns out the club officers weren't really trustees and the maximum club liability was only the first year of the deal.

They wouldn't listen so I left..

Yes, you can still do that but it's auto struck off at the point of competing loading, so it doesn't work.
