Jealous of Henderson's hair probably.

And bitter that we didn't sign him and he went to Derby, then got relegated in the team which broke the worst points total record previously set by us

Memory plays tricks of course but didn't he play it out as if he'd turned us down? I seem to recall him mouthing off until the club (Keane?) decided to put the record straight by leaking that we'd ignored him, IIRC we'd left him holed up in some hotel room.

we were listening on the way back from the england-samoa game at twickenham yesterday and iirc he was going on about players having to pay their dues and earn the right to play for their country and then mentioned 'the likes of jordan henderson' sort of as if he hadn't earned his cap.

he did also say later on in the show that it's wrong to come out with excuses for chelsea last week and more credit should be given to us as we murdered them and were by far the better side.

i like listening to him. in the main he talks sense and is quite amusing unlike most others on the wireless.

It seems a fair enough comment tbh. If Capello had a fully fit squad in a competitive game, Henderson (and the other young players) would be miles away from a starting position in the team. However, perhaps there's a transition finally occuring where young lads get a chance to be around the squad and the team is being built for the future.

Henderson against Chelsea was a world away from Henderson against France - manager's fault?

Stuart Pearce's fault imo. He's been playing Henderson there in the U-21s and probably advised Capello where to play him.
