So, Crane for Woakes the only change? Broad batting at 8? Jeez that's a long tail....... And to think we had Modern and Woakes at 8 & 9 last year

Green pitch and rain around, but this is the game we've gone with 2 spinners. How is it possible to get things so wrong.

4 spinners isn't it unless Ali is only a batter now.

Very poor attack with Curran the only back up to Anderson and Broad.
 
Is there any chance they could surprise us and play Wood instead of Ali or Curran?

Give them 10 minutes instead of 30 minutes after the covers have come off. All of the forms should have been done before that anyway and then give them the time needed to prepare for day ahead.

it's going to dry out and get hotter and hotter as the test goes on...

also interesting sydney has a new groundsman for the first time in ages so it will be interesting to see how the pitch goes. the scg has not hosted a first class game yet this summer.

Not me. Got a few hours left - but I am on USA eastern time. Sounds as if two spinners is not the right approach on this pitch.

seems so... time will tell. it's going to be hot and dry. sydney does traditionally spin but not as much as it used to.

just heard Crane has taken a 5 for on this ground for NSW... not bad that.
