Never been to Melbourne or Sydney?Aren't many 'out' homosexuals in world cricket are there? Davies aside, I'm not aware of any others.....? Would be interesting to see how the Aussies would react to a homosexual playing for them.
Wouldn't bother me, but I get the impression that Australians are a little less liberal than we are in this country. The ones I've met anyway.

On issues such as racial and sexual equality we're world leaders. It's the persecution of the poor by successive governments and the right wing press (led by an Australian ironically) that drags us down. It was mate. We've agreed to do it for the Test next time.Sounds like a cracking day out.
Always better of course when you can top it off with a win. And a close one at that.

Australia seems to be the opposite on both counts, although non whites get a poor deal over there on all fronts.
Again, just the impression I get.
Aye agree. always scores runs against Yorkshire which is what I judge a player onNo, I haven't.
The same impression I've gained from my experiences too. Certainly on the racist front.
Mind I also have to say, I feel Davies was given a rough deal by FTECB. Might be wrong, but for me he was never given the recognition his talent deserved and my cynical side tells me that certain dinosaurs within the establishment were responsible for that.
Would've made a fine Test keeper IMO.
We will finish last mate as Jonah Moi is going.Get in. Looking forward to some highlights later on.
Let's beat New Zealand and Australia in the Tri series now
There were still quite a few single tickets for sale when I looked yesterday. Presumably folks just migrated round to where there mates were, leaving areas of empty seats?Just watched highlights. The Optus is like the Emirates.- sold out but loads of seats not taken

At any one time there are loads of people out on the concourses, having food and drink. The stadium is a 60,000 people design. Working capacity (after areas are lost to screens, etc) is 55,000. Yesterday was a sellout and 53,781 turned up. So 1,210 people had tickets but didn't turn up.Just watched highlights. The Optus is like the Emirates.- sold out but loads of seats not taken

Loads of people were also leaving before the end mind. The stadium is only accessible by train, and 50k people leaving all at once (for one train service north and one south) isn't ever going to end well. I'd guess about 10k walked away early from a thrilling climax just to avoid a 3hr wait to get home. Must do better, Transperth. Dutch style double decker trains?i switched it off the ball before maxwell was out (at the end of the 36th over) as i thought they were cruising, so did the commentary team...![]()
Just come to expect it from TC.
Smith uses up far too many balls in 50 over cricket IMO.Loads of people were also leaving before the end mind. The local media are getting stuck in to Steve Smith's one day batting and captaincy today.![]()
