Athletic reporting he got a parish after promotion but Stoke likely to have offered double his money.

Concerning who we hope to appoint when other sides in the league are paying double on managers.
We are kind of losing sight of the fact Stoke are owned by the people who own Bet365 and Denise Coates pays herself about £200 million a year.

They can afford to double his salary. It’s not like it’s Luton or Rotherham.

Someone who has a box at the club told me Neil was on 5k a week which may have gone up after promotion and stoke are going to pay him 15k a week. I can’t believe we can’t pay the best manager we have had in years 15 grand a week! Kevin Phillips is on 5 grand a week at South Shields ffs

Why would a person with a box know AN’s wage?? 🤣🙈

If true (big if) then you can't blame him for buggering off.

The board have put us in this situation, ultimately. AN was given pap contract and for all we know, these pellets weren't going to offer him a better one. As fans it's us lot that have to suffer this sh*te. It's going to be weird come 3o'clock that's for sure.
Kick off 12:30

Crackers if it's come down to money alone.

I know the club don't want to be taken for ransom and we all want a fair sustainable model in place.

However, in the overall expenses list, I would think one managers wage is not the be all end all.

The amount of time and resources that will go into finding a new one and then potentially getting it wrong when we seemingly had a good fit, it would have made more sense to match it. Unless it's obscene of course.

Maybe there was more to it behind the scenes? I remember a poster saying he looked frosty with the owners when celebrating the playoff win. I thought at the time, that it couldn't possibly be the case and people were looking too much into it. Seems there might have been something in it?

My biggest worry about him leaving is how the team react. He seemed at have a great amount of camaraderie in the squad. If the rumours are true that a few of our senior players were miffed he was let go and if he was the one that had installed that camaraderie then it's a disaster.

Fingers crossed it's not as bad as that.

Who should we be competing with going forward?

They’re not blameless at all but you don’t actually know how true any of this is.

Stoke might literally have offered him the same as Pep gets at City.

Which parish? Hope it was ashbrooke or seaburn. If it was Hendon or Southwick, no wonder he f#cked off
