I think they'r bringing in someone to do that next year.Cummins bowling lots of no-balls.
If they were getting called as they should be the follow-on would be lot closer. Umpires really need to start calling the bowlers for this, not just checking when a wicket falls.
Can confirm it’s f***ing freezing out of the sun
Like I’ve said time and time again take Smith out and two very similar scoring sides unfortunately for us they have him and he’s been the difference again.
fuck sake it was more of a joke about how long it feels.
Not quite as simple as that. Some bowlers will always push the line no matter what. A lot of depends on rhythm. He'd just adjust his run up once the no ball was called so there wouldn't be as many. Agree umpires should do better
loves an agenda does GM#1FHis agenda against the ECB means all of our players apart from Stokes are embarassing no credit at all to Australia
You dont think root is a better batsmen than stokes? No chance he's better than Stokes.
What in that equation suggests a draw? Australia can get 150-200 without difficulty, especially with already 200 ahead, and England have struggled to bat through 5 sessions on multiple occasionsEngland 55/1
Australia 8/11
Draw 7/5
Still think the draw is the most likely myself given Australia are probably going to have to bat again, get another 150-200 before putting England in again with 5 sessions left.
Spot on. Think they've targetted the World Cup - make our ODI team as strong as possible on home soil and win it. As a result you've neglected the Test side of Cricket and batting for time, batting against top class bowlers and in varying difficult situations. That's the result.
If the Aussies hadn't declared they'd have got 520/530 on this pitch. We're struggling to get to 300.
I thought Roy was worth a punt at top of order given the lack of options and form he was in coming off back of World Cup but he looks way out of depth there.
Burns and Denly must’ve played a fair amount of first class stuff this season as weren’t part of England ODI set up.
Also Root and particularly stokes have done well with bat this series. I just think Bairstow, Buttler and Roy have played poor cricket at tines.
I also didn’t like Buttlers comment after World Cup saying if he achieves nothing again after winning that it won’t matter. What separates the great from the good is the desire to keep on performing and progressing. Once that hunger goes at top level it’s going to be a struggle.
I said Stokes is a better player. There is more to cricket than batting. You dont think root is a better batsmen than stokes?![]()

England have the mental attitude to bat out the day tomorrow, there's no question. If the last test didn't show you anything, I don't know what will.
The score they have in this innings isn't even horrendous, without Smith this would be a very even game. But they are lucky to have him. We will grind out the draw imo.
He's a walking wicket every time. Doesn't look comfortable, no leg movement. Fuckin get stuck in man. WeakWas a good ball
I would. Be interesting to see what they doSurely Aus will enforce follow on if they get england out?
The last test showed that Stokes is capable of super human performances on occasion. Not that England have the mental attitude to bat out the day. More than that it's England's repeated failure to bat out the day over the past two years I'm basing my judgement on. Not one remarkable test.
Nevermind Smith, Without Stokes the Ashes is already gone.
