Hull vs Sheff Utd Friday - Sheff Utd Win
Birmingham vs Barnsley Saturday - Birmingham Win
Burton vs Millwall Saturday - Draw
Norwich vs Bolton - Norwich Win
Hull vs Barnsley Tuesday - Hull Win

Depends on the above, assuming we get beat off Boro and the above happens. That puts Bolton on 33, Brum 33, Hull on 32 with a miles better Goal difference, Burton 30, Barnsley 28 and us 26 needing to catch up 7 points, can't see us doing it.

This is Sunderland. We basically defined 'the great escape', it became almost a running joke in the Premier League that we'd be utterly shit yet somehow still manage to stay up.

Surely when we've all been through those years we all know that mathematically is isn't over till it is over.

Saying that, the team's form is absolutely dogshit, so unless things change drastically then the mathematically certainty will come running and smack us in the face fairly soon.

I’ve said for the last two seasons that the times we did “the great escapes” we had underperforming players who came Good. This season and last the players are just rubbish.

We've been here before, albeit in the premiership. Normally we turn it round just after I give up hope and I've just given up. So we will be fine

You don't have us in the division to give you your customary 6 points that's the problem. Had we have not gotten promotion last year the 6 points you would have no doubt won against us would have made the table look a lot better.

No. Three from the bottom five will go down. The only one I'd bet on with confidence to do so is Burton. Their win tonight was a blessing.
I actually agree with that. Worst case scenario Tuesday would be Barnsley and Bolton winning. Fortunately the others all lost as well. Could be record low points required to stay up at this rate. No doubt it will change when the six pointers come around.
