4 points from safety, is it over?

Massive opportunity missed tonight. A poor Bolton team, they didn't play well however we just couldn't win the game.

Staring down the barrel of League 1 now.

The last two results have probably been the final few nails in the coffin, there just isn't enough firepower in the squad to see us pull away from it, we're completely fucked and finished.

It was over the day David Moyes walked into the club. We will be playing League Two football next year.....badly.
Just because he is doing OK (not well) at West Ham it's assumed his hands were tied here, I blame him for accelerating the decline more than anyone as he installed a lose at all costs mentality, anyways there is more to life than a football team as we all have problems that go way beyond it

Lack of confidence after years of getting beaten week in week out makes a very poor group of players look even worse. We are down and if a new owner isn’t found quick sharp we will struggle next season aswell.

Hull and Barnsleys game in hand is against each other if either wins it's game over for you lot

3 tough games coming up I think you will be effectively gone by middle of March

Once you get to 6 behind that' about it games are running out. If hull get 12 more points from now until end you need 16 to overtake them same with Birmingham. And I can see both of them getting 12 to be honest

Where you will get 16 from is open to debate

Where will hull get 12 points from, there just as shit as us that's why there at the bottom.

I think its way to early to say it's over for you. Obviously you're dicing with death but so are 5 teams around you.

We are the worst team in the division, can't score goals, have no team spirit, confidence, skill or momentum and an owner who gave up years ago and zero chance of changing anything other than sacking yet another manager, which we've done about ten times in as many years it seems. We will be relegated with at least five games to go. Anyone who truly believes we can stay up must believe in the tooth fairy

Get fucked you obsessed wanker

By no means over. We can get out of this we just need a bit sense of belief.

Win the next game and the momentum can totally change

Barnsley had a chance to pull away last night they blew it. It's as wide open as it's ever been. Someone will stay up on 36 poystts his season

13 games to play and it's starting to look like 3 from 5. We're 3 points from safety with 39 to play for so it's nowhere near over. What we have to do is something we haven't done all all season and that is put together back to back wins. If we can't do that we've got no chance.

By no means over. We can get out of this we just need a bit sense of belief.

Not sure if it'll be quite that low but I wouldn't be surprised if 40 was enough this season. So much shite down at the bottom.

i hope you are right but unfortunately you will be in the minority with that attitude. we can't even win 1 game, never mind 2. if we were to somehow fluke a win on saturday, every sunderland fan knows that we will royally fuck it at Millwall the week after, especially with added pressure of winning the previous game. its what we always do.

beat forest away - roll over to barnsley next game (a must win, and winnable game)
beat hull at home - roll over to birmingham away then ipswich at home (2 winnable games)
beat burton away - roll over to reading at home (winnable game)

barnsley, ipswich and brentford home games in last 6 weeks were the chances. if we had taken 3 or 4 points from them 3 we would be right in the mix. i know its all if's and but's, however we haven't even gained ourselves a surprise win anywhere when expected to lose.

there is absolutely nothing to suggest from our form, performances and body language coming from the club that we are capable of winning one football match. never mind 2 in a row which is going to be required.

Sat 24/02/18 CHA Sunderland 15 : 00 Middlesbrough
Sat 03/03/18 CHA Millwall 15 : 00 Sunderland
Tue 06/03/18 CHA Sunderland 19 : 45 Aston Villa
Sat 10/03/18 CHA Queens Park Ra… 15 : 00 Sunderland
Sat 17/03/18 CHA Sunderland 15 : 00 Preston North End

honestly can't see us getting more than 1 or 2 points from that lot. by which point if the teams around us even have gained 5 or 6, thats us about 8 points from safety, with 8 games to go, averaging less than 1 point per game. i'm 99% sure its already over. happy to be proved wrong, but something would have to drastically change in the next week or two, something that would so far against the last 2 years current of decline its unthinkable
