Like it or not these young kids bring a different dimension to the game, indeed we still need openers to see off the new ball in test cricket , but these lads play shots the likes of Cook can only dream of. I watched him on the balcony after Butler hit a couple of sixes saying to Moores (fkn hell) . Bring on the youngsters I say if they are ready (although Cookie said Butlers not ready yet ).

which is fine when you're coming in to a side on 400-5 that is in need of quick fire runs to set a declaration. however he could well have been out on 0 and was dropped on about 20.. wouldn't have looked so clever in the previous tests we've played this summer...

Cook should have been out cheaply also, you ride your luck.

Pitch looking very slow and lifeless, despite gobshite Warne's promises that it would be an excellent cricket wicket.

Maybe he is. But he needed championship runs.

He keeps scoring he gets a chance, but before this year he was a one day specialist

And before anyone compares him to David Warner....fuck off ;)

Yeah he needed runs without a doubt, they are reluctant to play him for some reason, he is one of the few who has played round the world. Sometimes you just have to take a gamble, Robson will come good IMO but I'd have Hales straight in., he doesn't have to make massive scores, if he can score a quick fire 50 or 60 then he has done is job.

He has had absolutely no luck all summer, some very unlucky dismissals, as you say, it comes and goes, thats cricket

Back to right now, not bowling at the stumps again, if they aren't doing, get them off and give Jordan ago. Do not waste the new ball!

cook however has over 8 thousand runs and 25 hundreds behind him, buttler has a FC average of 33 and this is his first match in a game where two batsman made 150+ and one got a 90. his knock was impressive but it was still only the 4th highest so far. i'll leave blowing hot air up his arse until i've seem him grind out runs as well as knock it about on a flat track.

Nope I have been saying this all summer mate, long term we have some serious talent.

not critical of what you said, i don't pay enough attention to who says what to be taking the piss, i'm just saying it is a funny old game like.

Oh yeah I agree totally, my main problem all summer has been the bowling, been awful bar the odd session. And we haven't picked our best attack here mind

Just like that Jimmy, get it up, they don't like it!

Get Broad off and Jordan on, see if he can pitch it up too.

agreed like. caught in two minds as stokes has a right to be pissed off - bowled excellently and here runs are hardly a concern typically - but as a result get to see him for durham tomorrow and if he sticks it up the selectors so much the better

jimmy bowling well here

Well, India can't bowl...and now it looks as if...

or catch just as crucially

Stokes had to play, nothing to do with him being a Durham lad, it isn't just muddled thinking by England, all the press and TV media have said, he bowled well, but can't buy a run give him a rest. He is batting at 8 man ffs!

aye whilst the number 10 & 11 have been scoring runs for fun anarl! could have put him in at 11 FFS :lol:

Warne doesn't half talk some absolute shite

A few hours earlier he was saying England should declare and have 15 overs at India

He comes on commentary and says why didn't Cook declare earlier? Should of had 25 at India.

Absolute shitehawk

Can't stand the bloke. He's a monumental helmet.

i don't min warne tbh. he knows more about young english spinners than any of the english commentators for a start.

he's no more of a bellend than botham or boycoutt tbf.

He is with Cook, everything and anything is Cook's fault

Just been watching for the first time today. Surely there were more people in the stands than this at the start?
