Share capital in Sunderland Limited the day he too over £86k; share capital now £101m. The sole shareholder in Sunderland Ltd is Drumaville Limited, a company owned by Ellis Short, who bought it from some Irish fellers on the advice of another Irish feller.
That's the clubs debt tho. We owe him. No a bank, the bloke who claims to have the best intentions for this club will sell everything available to him in order to regain his money.

Given we were in worse position then now and the global crash happened if Quinn didnt get Short we were Portsmouth Mk 2
Unlikely we would have no club, you must agree. Speaking of Portsmouth, a bloke from Walt Disney completed a takeover of the club today. Another American who is looking to make money, or loves football, what do you think? A Walt Disney executive for Gods sake.

Share capital is not debt!!!!!!

You can only get that back if you sell the shares for at least that much. There is an £69m debt owing to Drumaville, but that is entirely separate.

if the lens transfer goes through at the reported fee, that's how much we've received in transfer fees this summer.

And there's still no money we're told. How long before we see protests at home games?

He's given a fortune to EVERY manager. They've all spunked it away.

Time for a new approach

We wont know until we see the accounts, if he is asset stripping or making the club cheaper to buy, so ppl basing things on emotion not hard facts and I dont doubt if we lose few games at the start ppl will still blame Short....
Of course people will still hate short, there's a lot of fans who have hated him a hell of a lot longer than just this summer

Short isnt stupid and will recoup what he can, any sane person would, if you believe that any person will blow over 100m for sake of supporters is very gullible person...

What are you even going on about?
No one's disputing we are in financial difficulties, the anger is that Ellis Short has got us into these difficulties and is asset stripping the club in order for him to recoup as much cash as he can. He's making the club pay for his own mistakes
how is he asset stripping?

So he's not left with a league 1 club. Ashley backed the mags with 60 mil to get them promoted, where's graysons backing?

I don't think getting the club promoted is on Short's radar, just seems like he's ensuring we're in stable state and saleable with him not losing too much when it does sell. Just my opinion though.

Protests are pretty pointless now. Short is looking to sell, and we are in the championship so to only coverage a protest will get is 2 lines in the echo. Weve missed to boat to do something about it by 3 years.

It does not matter to Short how he gets his money back, he will not leave this club a loser.

The £100m turned into shares can only be got back by selling them for at least that.

There's this peculiar belief that selling an asset to pay off a debt is asset stripping.
ah I get ya
so he's not at all then.

Even if he's paying off debts to himself that is not asset stripping

He needs to cut his losses and fuck off, but no, he'll try to screw every last penny out of the club.
Fuck the consequences of where that will put us.
If he cares as much as he said in the statement after the "takeover" fell through, he'd be put what's owed to him to one side, and put incoming transfer fees into buying players to get us promoted, not giving grayson fuck all and expecting him to perform miracles.
The debt is owed to him, he's made the mistakes, why should we pay for his incompetence?

Is that what you would do if you were the thick end of a hundred million quid in the red in a business deal? Just say fuck it and walk away?

I doubt it.

we've managed
Dont know where you've got this we from, the financial shit pit we are in is down to the complete incompetence of one man and one man only. We have turned up in our tens of thousands week in and week out giving both vocal and financial support.
