Instead of the pathetic abuse how about one of you attempts to answer the question. How will it look to Short, O Neill, Johnson, Fletcher if the stadium has 20,000 empty seats tonight, taking everything that I mentioned into consideration? How will that look?

I'm sure Ellis has driven through Sunderland, so he's probably well aware of the fact that the city is not exactly dripping in gold. Therefore he won't be surprised if a League Cup match doesn't pull a big crowd, even with reduced prices.

O' Neill was the manager of Villa and Leicester. Fletcher played for Wolves. Adam Johnson played (or sat on the bench) for Man City, who despite spunking gazillions on players and winning the league, still managed not to fill their ground for every single match. He also played for the smog monsters, 'nuff said.

I would say empty seats in an early round of the f***ing league cup will look pretty normal to them, as it will to most of us.

All of this.

30K will be a superb attendance tonight and will probably be more than we get on Thursday.

Tonights crowd = towards the 22k mark.

Btw to the OP you two faced fucker, you rip Nathan Gunn to pieces for attendance threads!

There might be only 17,400 tickets left online, but there are 18 blocks not available online as they are shaded out due to being matchday sales. They are definately not sold out! Then there's the 6,000 seats in the North Stand Upper available for away fans and segregation, that are not included.

if Morecambe bring around 500, i reckon on around 20,000 as the gate.
