I'll be supporting Sunderland. Doesn't matter a flying fuck who the opposition are. Man U or Morecambe.

What sort of message will it send to Ellis Short, Martin O Neill, Adam Johnson or indeed any transfer targets we may be trying to sell the club to right now if we pull in sub 30k for our only home game in four months? They've done their bit - over to the fans to prove we are what they say we are and some of us proclaim to be....

Villa and Everton only just managed to get over 30k for alot of prem games last season.

Anything over 20k for this round against Morecambe is decent imo.

Instead of the pathetic abuse how about one of you attempts to answer the question. How will it look to Short, O Neill, Johnson, Fletcher if the stadium has 20,000 empty seats tonight, taking everything that I mentioned into consideration? How will that look?

so a roughly 27k crowd then, i think they would be quite chuffed, thats 10k up on what it probably would have been if the signings hadnt been made.

They are not idiots, they know what sort of crowds these games attract for premier clubs, they would be very happy with 27k im sure.

Like a first round cup game against a low league side with probably an extra 10,000 more on the gate than usual?

So the chairman will be pleased then? He'll be pleased with 25,000 after spending £22m last Friday. I'm not certain he will, but that's just my view. Maybe he'll be over the moon with that.

We got 25k against arsenal last season, if he as that bothered he would have looked at the seating plan last Friday before buying johnson and fletcher

So we've sold over 30k???

Fuckin mint!!!

thats from a quick check on seats left on the websales app, could be wrong, i was deeing it half arsed

just checked again 17,411 but ill imagine it will be lower given segregation and matchday sales areas to be sold

A lot of seats won't be available due to being kept back for gate sales.
