My mate is coming with us and going in the home end by himself like

All our ticketless fans should go in the same block in the home end...they'd never kick out a couple hundred of us all together in the home end :)

Must be annoying as well knowing thousands came crawling out of the woodwork for cup finals and European games, but now they're back down these supporters have skulked back off to 'follow' Man Utd and Liverpool etc

We're no different

Sorry to piss on anyone's chips but if you go on the Bolton FC ticket page you get this:

Logon or register to see this image

And if you click the limited availability the majority of the individual section have sold out. Which is the same for all the home sections with the away section sold out.

Well there's plenty of availability in the pitch.

Some of you lot need a geography lesson. Bolton is in an area surrounded by clubs like Man Utd, Man City, Blackburn, Wigan, Burnley, Blackpool, Preston, etc. Despite that and despite the fact that we haven't won a major trophy since 1958 and have never won the league, historically we are still the third best supported club in the immediate area. Only Man Utd and Man City have higher average attendances than us since the war.

Wee club in Manchester.

"we're only playing Sunderland" is the attitude on your forum. Shit support regardless of which clubs you're near.

Shit support. You're all the same in that area, everyone just jumps on the Man Utd and Liverpool bandwagon rather than support their home town clubs.

No geography lesson required I managed to find my way to the devere hotel with no problems. The list of clubs you provide are pretty pointless really as apart from two of them the rest aren't really worth mentioning!

Exactly. I don't understand why people on here poke fun at other teams support.

I don't mind a good argument about support and what not but the childish piss taking is stupid.

someone on that forum of theirs is genuinely trying to claim they've got the best fans in the land because they've got better things to do than support their team. Fuckwits.

You're missing the point. Even if the surrounding clubs only pull in less than 5,000 average crowds, that's 5,000 supporters that aren't going to turn up to support the other club.

I didn't even mention the likes of Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, etc. I can't think of another area of the country where there are so many professional football clubs in such a relatively small area.

Bolton's support is remarkably good considering we have one of the most successful clubs in the world and one of the richest on our doorstep. To be third behind those two is no mean feat.
