Completely agree the abuse SD got from a few idiots was totally unacceptable. However, he did set himself up,even though he did not deserve such reaction from, again,a few idiots. I've spoken to him and he knows the vast majority would not condone such behaviour.
That said, I am of the opinion that had he the financial muscle he led us to believe he had,( eg Sartori),and was able to provide a properly financed, sound footing for us to progress, we would be in a different place with him and him with us.
The lingering doubts about the financial structure of his purchase, together with the obvious lack of player investment culminating in poor on pitch performances, led to his confrontation with the idiot few, and to the disgruntlement with the rest of us.
Even then,he is to be commended for the appointment of PP....imo,at just the right time....so,if he'd have been true,he could well be about to get it all on track. But,alas,no......as it turns out.
certainly i agree witht he broad thrust of your comments here..if anything im a bit hasher in my view of him than you are.

the thing is, untilt he £9m loan from the americans..i wasnt bothered on the short term financials..the first team havent wanted for anything financially..they did need better people, not more money. arguably PP is showing what the better people can do, as he doens have more cash than his predescfessor.

i think part of the problem on financials has been that many fans want things to simply be like they were under sshoprt..a billaionrie running it basly is better than a no billioanire running it well.
#My view was !) amillionaire running it well is better and 2) the problem was he wasnt running it well.

but i cant see a way where the current owners havent written a few big cheques to the cluub in their time in charge.

I f***ing love shit like this:

"“We wanted to take over the club and run it in the right way. Look at Ellis - I think he’s a tremendous man and he put in about £170million. Nobody should blame him, it’s about the people who run the club.” "

the people who run the club should be blamed, not Ellis Short.

Ellis Short owned the club. He was in charge.
OR
Ellis Short hired people to run the club. He was responsible for the people who ran the club

Pick one.

there isn't. as usual, when the team weren't producing the usual crew start shit stirring. now that we're winning again, no-one gives a fuck. gets embarrassing at times.
The problems behind the scenes are still there and there’s still nothing being done about them. Our results are papering over the cracks the same as they did last season.

SD is a victim of his own lack of clarity on all of the financial issues since he became involved, which has continued into the FPP loan. As soon as performances dipped on the pitch, he became a sitting duck, because of his own self-inflicted confusion.
By the way, don't agree with your billionaire running it badly comment......most of us did not like the way we were run under Short one little bit.

That's all fine and I agree. However i dont think he handled the joint statement by the fanzines/Rawa well at all. If he truely wanted to stay at the club then he needed a stronger backbone and pretty much ignore the statement. You dont succeed in any business without having a thick skin and pissing people off along the way.

Its been for sale all along, plenty have said it despite what SD / CM were saying.

i’m still not convinced anyone will pay the price. Having talks is one thing, concluding the deal and getting the price you want is another. I’d be amazed if anything progresses before the summer

Pretty much agree with that, you do need a thick skin, but I've done business with people who've turned down the offer of a contract and offered a hand shake instead........and who've always been true to their word, trusting me to mine.
Proper businessmen mind, with plenty of backbone, not spivs out to make a quick turn. A dying breed, sadly.
Someone else saying Donald was trying to sell prior to last summer.

After the play offs?

This has been said a few times on here and I just don’t understand where you’re coming from.

It’s a business and he’s a businessman. Of course he’s in it for the money and it’s obvious he won’t care as much about the club as a Quinn or a Murray.
Very true. However, if we’re invoking business rules it should also be acknowledged that Donald is not automatically entitled to a profit - rather it must be earned. Indeed, should promotion fail to be achieved this summer he absolutely deserves to suffer a monetary loss for his stake in the club.

Think getting promoted will more likely take away the bluffer's but Donald has obviously let himself down by trying to sell so quickly, we aren't bungalow you can put a new kitchen in, you've got to assume Juan sartori was going to get involved then changed his mind later on leaving Donald fucked IMO.

Reading between several lines here but I think something may be close to being announced.

It certainly fits in with the rumours from last week, that 2/3 buyers had agreed on his valuation, and were already doing due diligence.
Then again, today’s crack may have come from that rumour, and be a load of shite.
It’s hard to tell what’s true/untrue in the world, never mind at SAFC, in the era of spin and lies.

I’m just gonna enjoy our current form, hopefully the rest of the season, and we’ll see what happens.

Best just pick the rumour You like the most and stick to it mate. The whole f***ing world is smoke and mirrors these days. Rumour is fact, conjecture and opinion become gospel, sky sources or a source close to the club say. It’s all churned out as fact.
the only victim is the truth. Because when someone tells the truth, no fucker believes them.
I'm sure the twats ran a similar story this time last season anarl...
Makes you wonder why they bother as we mean nothing to them. Imbeciles
