I couldn’t care less about Stewart Donald as he couldn’t care less about SAFC here for the quick buck nothing more nothing less.

This has been said a few times on here and I just don’t understand where you’re coming from.

It’s a business and he’s a businessman. Of course he’s in it for the money and it’s obvious he won’t care as much about the club as a Quinn or a Murray.

this. and do safc fans really believe that we will get another owner who cares about the club more than money? such folk hardly ever arrive.
while i will take your word for it re:quinn. i know some odf the people in his consrotium have never had any interest in safc..

they dont even like soccer very much..their favourite sports are horse racing and gaa..

We need the next owners to be in it for the long term.

The damage done to this club in the last 10 years has in many ways been down to short term thinking of one type or another.

What interest would a short term owner have in developing youngsters who will only be ready for senior football long after they've gone ?
Exactly this

What was the last word there...?
Kind of tailed off...

"We approached him, but he said he already had a deal in place with other people, and then came the reports of the people in America associated with Michael Dell."

Would this indicate that FFP were actually interested in purchasing the club as opposed to the 'investment in Donald'

it indicates nothing other than thedell people might be coming..nothing about the terms..

well its a valid view. of course he has made other millions without his children being threatened and him being implied to be a crook etc.
so selling now means he gets the millions to put into ventures where he gets other millions and no abuse.
i know which one id pick.

your point is fair enough..though the caveat should have been that campbell was at a match wasnt he? and it ended up not being done?

Completely agree the abuse SD got from a few idiots was totally unacceptable. However, he did set himself up,even though he did not deserve such reaction from, again,a few idiots. I've spoken to him and he knows the vast majority would not condone such behaviour.
That said, I am of the opinion that had he the financial muscle he led us to believe he had,( eg Sartori),and was able to provide a properly financed, sound footing for us to progress, we would be in a different place with him and him with us.
The lingering doubts about the financial structure of his purchase, together with the obvious lack of player investment culminating in poor on pitch performances, led to his confrontation with the idiot few, and to the disgruntlement with the rest of us.
Even then,he is to be commended for the appointment of PP....imo,at just the right time....so,if he'd have been true,he could well be about to get it all on track. But,alas,no......as it turns out.
