They’re being very careful with Carse after his injuries. They want to keep him for white ball mainly which I can understand.

The problem is that it has never been an issue for either of them. It's when they play in the first team they look short of the required standard.
Exactly the same over the years with the likes of Muchall and Jimmy Daley. Before you know it they have been on the staff for 10 years and still not cracked it.

You've got to wonder about the standard, I have absolutely no idea who any of Derbyshire's top 7 are. I doubt any of them have played for the 1sts.
