OK, so what's the fall out of this one? Only Ballance and Root can escape criticism from that.

Robson - is he good enough? One good score, looks vulnerable outside of off
Cook - looks shot. Terrible captain, risking his place in the team with this terrible run DROP
Ballance - good player, perfect for No.3
Bell - back to the bad old days, failure to step up when all around are crumbling - KEEP (needs to step up)
Root - Starting to look the quality player we thought he would be
Ali - does he offer enough with the bat to justify his inclusion? Discount his spin as it is no better than a part timer
Prior - Look shot. not fit. out of nick in both disciplines DROP
Stokes - Laughably bad with the bat, not sure he has done enough with the ball to be retained DROP
Broad - can only go on wasting the new ball for so long - KEEP (for now)
Plunkett - needs to pitch the ball up and get a shot with the new ball
Anderson - another one looking shot. Needs a rest, ICC will probably give him that rest - DROP

Replacements
Captain - Morgan is a good shout, no-one from the current setup stands out
Opener - Backwards step going back to Compton or Carberry. Hales or Lyth
Keeper - Buttler
Bowlers - Bresnan, Mills, ?? ?? anyone else?

From being in a commanding position before the last over before lunch.. to throwing it away in a matter of an hour

not good signs like.

Mind in the end of it despite our comedy batting routine the difference was that 8th wicket stand yesterday that left the target a lot higher than it should have been.............

Nope, it was bowling too short on the first morning. Should have had them for under 200 on that pitch.

OH GOD NO.. A perfect Moores type player

Swap Ali for Borthwick and bat him 6 and keep Ballance at 3.

Ali doesn't offer enough to justify his place for me. If we're going with part time spin, is he any better than Root or Ballance?

Root for me, is a natural number 3 and Ballance is a natural number 5.

Its clear as day we simply cannot play the short ball. Johnson showed it, and now so has has Sharma. fuck sake its not like he mixed it up with the odd full ball, it was just short ball after short ball after short ball. No disguise, just same old.

So, if the useless knackers dont have the ability and technique to get in behind it and defend it or get out the way of it hows about just wearing a few you clueless soft murnops!?
