Testing is where we do a test to see who has coronavirus. Some people are tested more than once.
Between 22 June 2022 and 28 June 2022, there have been 1,266,552 tests. This shows an increase of 7.3% compared to the previous 7 days.

Cases in England​

A confirmed case is someone who has tested positive for coronavirus.
Between 18 June 2022 and 24 June 2022, 109,908 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows an increase of 36.9% compared to the previous 7 days.



Vaccinations in England​

Vaccines are given in several doses.
45,072,350 people had been given a first dose by the end of 28 June 2022.
42,158,402 people had been given a second dose by the end of 28 June 2022.
33,196,530 people had been given a booster or third dose by the end of 28 June 2022.

Healthcare in England​

Some people with coronavirus have to go into hospital.
Between 21 June 2022 and 27 June 2022, 8,295 went into hospital with coronavirus. This shows an increase of 37.1% compared to the previous 7 days.
There were 8,587 patients in hospital with coronavirus on 29 June 2022.
Some people in the hospital need to use a special device called a mechanical ventilator to help them breathe.
There were 200 coronavirus patients in hospital beds with a mechanical ventilator on 29 June 2022.



Deaths in England​

Between 18 June 2022 and 24 June 2022, there have been 377 deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test. This shows an increase of 26.9% compared to the previous 7 days.
