Under 600 in intensive care and overall hospital numbers dropping .. shoudk start seeing death numbers drop off quite a bit soon now the case numbers are not like they were a coupel weeks ago

Still, cases knocking on a 100k a day isnt great. Know quite a few people aren't even bothering to report positive lateral flows.

My parents in law both had it and isolated but didnt report. They couldnt be chewed on with all the emails from test and trace.
I knew people who were getting positive lft and isolating with out PCR months ago.. with rules now that will be far more often.

I've told them they should report it as positive if only to get it updated on their covid pass on nhs

My wife and youngest had it last week - tested positive on LFT and reported it. I think most people will do the right thing.

When the isolation rules change and it goes down as normal sickness employers will definitely be trying to force people in along with people having to go in because they can't afford the time off so reporting will change there

China levels of propaganda and Mag levels of delusion in the replies.

These are deaths are sadly the ones that a few weeks ago, anyone with half a brain knew would come, when the rest were were jerking off because there was 100,000 cases a day “bUT onlY 78 dYiNg! Gr8 GreENs aLl RoUnD”

How do you avoid Omicron, it's getting to the most remotest places. Heard in December that everyone will eventually catch it, and that's starting to look true, but how dies that work if you live say in the outback of Australia.

So what would you do to stop the high death rate? Lockdown, double mask, WFH, imprison ant vaxxers, abolish winter?

As ventilation numbers have been dropping I'm starting to think that many of the reported deaths would have died even if they weren't positive.

Cases in Japan only started increasing at the start of the month tbf and deaths are going up pretty quickly (from a VERY low base). Whilst they’re obviously very unlikely to end up with numbers anywhere near as bad as the Uk I think it’s safe to assume there will be pretty significant increase in the next month or so.
