24 Hours in police custody

I was saying they should just round them up and kill them or donate their bodies for science experiments, research etc. New law, if you say "no comment" more than twice in a police interview you volunteer your body up for medical research.

How can they just say no comment and get away with it anyway? Whole things a farce. You either did it or you didn't, you know something or you don't know; if you say "no comment" you're wasting everyone's time and perverting the course of justice surely? Trying to game the system after robbing some vulnerable old woman in her own house. FFS. Too soft man. 20 months of free food, water and electricity before going back out to re-offend. Sorry for the rant, but deport the bastards!

The whole point of a police interview is to gather evidence by questioning. So that's why you don't have to say anything but it may harm your defence.

Perverting the course of justice is where you do an act which has or has a tendency to pervert the course of justice and is intended to do so. So not answering a question is not a positive act.

Other than an outright confession no comment interviews are great for an investigator.

As an outsider it appears they do/say what the feck they want in an interview and it has little bearing on any ‘punishment’.

A law abiding fella would be sat there shitting himself but these lowlifes have sat there dozens of times before.

It was her own stupidity that got her charged. From memory she took the handbag outside whilst the police were still present and that had the knives in. I don't think we ever see the knives but if they were only inside the property then she commits no offence. Regardless of whether she made any comments she would have been charged regardless.

Interesting case of he said/she said tonight.

My God though the policeman looks like he should waiting for his gcse results! Feeling ancient here.

Anyone watch last nights episode? How the fuck did that Iftikhar Ahmed only get 20 months? They only did him for fraud and handling stolen goods. What about all the buglaries, stealing money from elderly and vunerable people, breaking into a house and waking the woman owner and getting her to transfer money into his bank account? Absolute joke, it came across like because he's a repeat offender the police can't be arsed.
That community officer seemed clueless and weak as piss.

Problem is mate that Twats like him know the system inside out.

eg Clever in the choice of shop they used with the stolen Card. They knew the CCTV was shite in there so the OB couldn't prove they used it to pay for goods.

Shit episode..

It showed how difficult the role of a copper is I’d suggest. Youngsters did everything they could to lay a sensible case out to CPS who said no. 6months later does it again and magistrate lobs it out. The bloke was mental and no doubt will reoffend again. Feel sorry for any man or woman who has to undergo stalkers.
