Completely agree with Schwalbe. Punctures everytime.I'll never buy Schwalbe again. I'm sure they aren't so bad but the sheer quantity of punctures versus Conti doing the same riding and routes puts me off completely. Talking tyres and tubes.
I ran Shwalbe Marathons on the tandem I rode with my son for a few years & didn't have a single puncture. maybe I've just had bad luck this time round or maybe the different models are just radically different re punctureproofness.Completely agree with Schwalbe. Punctures everytime.
I'm on my second lot - same as the first. Never again with those marathons. I think they are over rated.I ran Shwalbe Marathons on the tandem I rode with my son for a few years & didn't have a single puncture. maybe I've just had bad luck this time round or maybe the different models are just radically different re punctureproofness.

Be depressing to see what power I’m not putting out these days

Any discount codes or links to the likes of Wiggle, Sigma sports etc
Anyway, back to business, my front brake seems to be almost locked on. I’ve recentred the wheel. Lever is working fine and the brakes release when I flip them. Will it just be a case of loosening off the cable? If so, what has happened to make it tighten?
Will give that a look cheers. Are you a member of British Cycling? There’s a perpetual 10% off at CRC if you are and this can be used in conjunction with other discounts.
Have you checked the lever where the cable enters? That can come out of the housing and get jammed, which shortens the cable by a few mm.
Caught in that horrible rain this morning
Had another canny crash today, this time on the roadie and no one else to blame. Fucked it up just after Latimers and ended up over the handlebars on the pavement. Was doing about 25 and thought it was a good idea to come off the road and on to the cycle path. It wasn’t.
Right hip, wrist, elbow and shoulder all ok. Everything else took a bit of a battering. Helmet cracked as my head was first thing to make contact with the ground. Even with the helmet my head is cut/bruised/ostrich egg shaped.
3 cars stopped to check I was alright, which I was very surprised at
For any riders who choose not to wear a helmet, I reckon I’d be in a seriously bad situation right now if I wasn’t wearing one. Don’t chance it!

Aye, lesson learnt!Heading south ? Yes, i do that a lot. But i wait till just before the bus shelter to hop onto the cycle path.
And you're right about the helmet. I crashed at Hartlepool marina and smashed my head off the tarmac. Helmet smashed. Happens in half a second and you have no time to think.
Looks like it was caught behind the grip cheers.Have you checked the lever where the cable enters? That can come out of the housing and get jammed, which shortens the cable by a few mm.
