Not many of the favourites have started well. Algeria, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Gabon all just drew, Morocco lost.

Ghana vs Uganda and Mali vs Egypt tomorrow then everyone will have played once.

Hopefully Gabon, Tunisia and Ivory Coast get knocked out ASAP.

Going well so far. Gabon and Ivory Coast with disappointing draws vs the groups weakest side and Tunisia lost.

Newcastle have had the opposite. Only 2 of the 6 matches have had winners and both of those games the team involving a mag won. Their third player Atsu plays tomorrow.

So in the winter then you mean.

Probably, marra.

Mbemba played surprisingly decent in midfield. Even if the opposition was shite. Surprised we havent given him a shot there... f***ing Colback.

Watched the bein coverage earlier course the commentators curse

We haven't had a goalless draw so far

Mind the Ivory Coast game was good

Must be a bit odd- imagine if the The Euros switched about between mid-summer and mid-winter depending on whether Denmark or Greece was the host.

Agree with the earlier comment that FIFA should force this to be every four years. With respect to the rise in international standing of African footballers - it would be a sign of success.

You could do with him back just for numbers, struggling to name a full bench on Wednesday apparently.
Left 5 kids + Blobby Elliott out of the stiffs tonight so there'll probably be a couple of them making up the numbers.

Should still have a strong enough XI to get through...hopefully, Zola hasn't started well.

At least he won't get injured. Mind, (i know you watch Bein) it's lucky that Eurosport actually showed the game after missing the first half of the Algeria game yesterday to show the snooker instead, bastards .

Adabayor still looks likes got something about him

Mind looks like the king of rastas too

Ghana beat Uganda 1-0 earlier today and Mali and Egypt is currently 0-0 with about 5 to go. Just 2 goals in the last 4 games (unless there's a late winner here)

Wonder which players will look like World beaters and be snapped up by Premier League sides before they realise it was just a one off for the tournament
