yep he is very good like with the ball, hopefully he doesn't have one of his good days with the bat as well, it doesn't happen often like but when it does you may as well not turn up.
 
I can sadly see Lancs taking a bit of a beating. Sussex have a few good overseas players and their batting looks a lot stronger. We've been able to defend a few low targets at Old Trafford but could be a different story at Hove I think. Good luck to Durham, never really liked Hampshire for some reason.

Have asked this to an Everton fan before but why are there no decent Scouse players?

I’m not sure mate. The only one I can think of is Paul Horton, the opening batsman but he was born in Sydney and moved over as a kid. The Lancashire Leagues (and indeed the Yorkshire/North East ones) seem to have produced countless county and international players but for whatever reason the Merseyside clubs haven’t. The standard has always been decent enough but maybe it’s not played in enough schools these days? Hopefully playing a full season of county games in Liverpool will inspire a few kids although it’s probably not as straight forward as that.

They have just said that the Gloucs batter Ian Cockbain started at Bootle CC. Still not much though!

If our team arranged a tour to Liverpool next year are there many decent local clubs to play?
