Was eight years old at the time, and apart from it being f***ing class, it stands out in my memory as being the only game I ever sat in The Clock Stand. Amazing.

The had an OAP kick about on the pitch before the match and this Boro granny scored, as she celebrated she pulled her shirt up over her head like Ravenelli. Made me chuckle.

It was poor, we were in the main stand paddock right next to them and what they brought wouldn't have even come near to filling the little Roker end corner

I suffered a collapsed lung on the Friday and was took to hospital. Condition was called a pnuemorthorax where air gets into the lining of the lung collapsing it from the outside but slowly reinflates. As I was recovering I begged the doctor to let me go home so I could go to the match and he agreed with the warning not to get too exited.

Russell was phenomenal that season.
Millwall were top and we were 2nd that day. They must've wondered what the fuck just hit them when the 6th went in.
