Aye, was 14,bought a massive flag and when we got the penalty, jumped up and poked it in me mates' brothers eye. He cried for most of the game.

I was there.

It was shite as far as the game was concerned. Kudos to no one.

Clive Walker penalty miss icing on the fookin' cake

Also Ian Wallace - shoulda been nowhere near the first team on that day - awful player

I should have been on that bus with the lads from Fram but couldn't get the Saturday morning off work. Think you could buy toasters and kettles all over Sacriston for weeks afterwards.
Cracking bus. The likes of Thomper (Catweazle) and Chips were there. Great weekend.

" Thank you very much for the Milk Cup Sundland, thank you very much, thank you very, very very much" sang at us:-(
Cried me eyes out.
Looking up at the scoreboard in and seeing us 1-0 down-gutted.
My brother hates david Corner to this day and still goes on about him trying to shield the ball out.
Gilly (RIP) pissed out of his skull as per usual:-D

Gilly as in Guy, Gilly and Gatesy? Positive I saw him at the SOL not so long ago?

Went to White Hart Lane on the Saturday to watch Spurs play Southampton - I reckon there were quite a few Lads there as well - it was a much better game than ours - 5-1 to Spuds.

Remember the skydiver, the game was mostly rubbish - we never got going - and I'm sure someone got hit in the face with a dart. Journey home was okay until Newcastle when everyone else got off the train - the rest of the journey north was pretty lonely.

No, thank fuck. Gilly was from Stanley way. Absolute legend. Can remember him working as a steward at DCCC. He was off his trolley on the grog, he fell asleep, and his mates put him in a wheelie bin.

The Gilly that you're referring to is a complete and utter wanker. I better stop now......

Was on a mini bus years ago with the Stanley pirates from man utd ,Gilly was sick in the back in a cup then he drank his own vomit(hope no one is eating)

I was there. Don't know why it was called the friendly final mind

Because of the way both fans conducted themselves there were no arrests at the final & with footy hooliganism at its height

Someone decided it should be called the freindly final

Each time we play Norwich we play for the freindly trophy

It was all friendly on the way back home.

Shaking hands at Junctions from each others Mini-Bus windows..:)

Can remember the Sunderland Norwich friendship continuing into the 90's. Our game down Tranmere was called off late so about 1,000 SAFC fans went into the Norwich end to support them at Everton & saw them go top of the Premier League with a Chris Sutton goal. Was a class but surreal atmosphere.

Stayed around Slough, actually drove to Wembley for match. Purchased 24 cans of alcohol from shop in vicinity of Wembley and just drank them on grass verge or summat like that (there were 4 of us).

Remember a football match in Wembley Car Park between Norwich and SAFC supporters and of course remember the Rowell reception

After match drove to club in Burnham beeches, my never forgotten memory was one of my mates just bursting into tears at the bar, reckoned he was upset because we had lost but truth of matter is it was pills he was dropping.

Happy days

Watched it on the box at home with the family. Was 7 years old. Thought we would win cos remember our score on the vidiprinter the week before on grandstand so to meit was obvious we woud repeat the week after.
Cant remember going to roker untill lawrie.macmenemy first game but remember the cup run season before and following our scores

Years later worked with david corners cousin.soon as i found out i told.him.to.tel his cousin he was a ****
