13th September Stats

Because of a collection issue, healthcare figures for Sunday 12 September do not include updated data from 6 acute hospitals in England. Figures on this date are therefore lower than expected. Missing data will be added in the next release.

Figures reported on a Monday by Wales are for a 48h period. This is reflected in the UK total.

Hospital data for ST&S is updated weekly on a Thursday.

Feel confident about things going forward at this moment. Society functioning more or less like it was pre pandemic. As a country I think the vast majority have realised we need to learn to live with it. Things could go a bit south and I'll always be on guard to deal with it mentally compared to what had happened previous. Its great to be back living life the way its suppose to be lived

Cautiously optimistic…is it the start of the drop some scientists predicted/modelled (but a week or 2 late the useless bastards!) or is it another blip?

There has been a data collection issue up here in Scotland so the cases are artificially low today (4,000). They'll be added tomorrow, hopefully not too many.

Perfect post I was so nervous and cautious about it up till around 3-4 months ago now I’m heading a lot closer to back to normal and realised now that this is probably around for good now I’ve taken my precautions by taking the vaccines now it’s time to enjoy life properly again and hope for the best

If we get the boosters done we will be getting there. On radio 4 this morning , I think it was Prof Ferguson , said that getting a third booster vaccine had been shown to reduce infection rates by 90% , or at least that’s what it sounded like.
