It'll be interesting to see if charging UK students reduces overseas input who have always paid ...

 it will be funny when these shite uni's have to backtrack because they haven't got enough people enrolled on their courses

I'd slap my kids if they suggested going there for 8.5k

Get back to effing college and get some proper exam results

How do these places actually run at present if, as they are implying....they NEED 8.5k off every student :confused:

Government funding.

I'd encourage my non existent kids to get decent grades and a foot in the door at a company which encourages professional qualifications - average degree graduate earns £100k more over their career apparently , 3 years at 9k plus living allowances plus 3 years lost earnings at say £15k ... Not a lot in it really !

Chillicon what's the difference between a BA and Bsc? And how is one better than the other?

And that's average...not Teesside

My mate works for Sunderland Uni going round far east effectively selling places

A BA is a Bachelor of Arts degree, a BSc is a Bachelor of Science degree. A BA is likely to be in an "Arts" subject and a BSc will be a "Science" subject. Chillicon is basically saying "Arts" subjects are shit.

My mates got a Bsc from studying f***ing plants, they went for a kneesup in Tenerife for a week as well. Currently doing admin in the Nhs, class them Bscs like ;)

That Cambridge place doesn't do BSc degrees.......must be shite eh

And once you do a degree at Cambridge and Oxford, you wait a year do no extra work, pay £20 and get a Masters. Law unto themselves.

Once again I did say most BAs, not all.

Teesside Uni are the biggest employer in middlesbrough,,,,theres got to be a business plan thats working somewhere!?,,,,pubs are good too lol...and they have a taxi service for student girls to get away from the tossers!

It's an institutional choice as to whether a subject is a BA or BSc......the subject matter can be exactly the same.

Got told that because of CSI, interest in forensic courses went up something like 600% and had 15,000 applicants every year since it was screened on channel 5. Apparently there are only 19,000 forensic scientist vacancies in the whole of the UK.

Any course without the right amount of research has the potential to be pointless regardless of the letters before your degree.

Pretty much this ^^.

And again I understand there will be some variations to the general principle.
