Plus Leicester are going to pay a premium for players they believe fit into their system. Two £15m players who don't have the attributes they want is poor business too.

Absolutely insane money. They have champions league football they should be trying for players who they wouldn't normally have a chance of signing.

I get what they are doing with the players they are going for. But not for superstar prices.

Just shows you how crazy the market is mind.

I think his hold up play is great like, set a load of goals up this season.

Looking at his stats he has 15 goals and 7 assists, for a very defensive Watford team.

He isn't worth such a big fee but he is clearly a good footballer.

Aye no arguments there mate.

If they were literally just spending the money they got for Vardy, I could understand it, as its just a like for like. No more than that.

My word. He is not, and I think that post sums up exactly how little people understand what he does.

I don't even think he's a striker. I think he's a No.10, he plays even deeper than Okazaki and dictates a lot of Watford's best play on the ground.
So when he was scoring 20+ in The Championship where was he playing? Lets stop trying to reinvent the bloke as something he isn't

But that's the point, Watford have. He used to be their main striker, but they've adapted to someone else playing off him... someone like Vardy. He's not a midfielder, but he's not an out-and-out striker in positional sense. I'm not disagreeing that he has played there, but I'm saying that anyone who sees him as a target man hasn't been watching much of Watford, because he has become more of a creator than a scorer.

It sounds ridiculous at first.......but then again they've just won the league with mostly unfashionable players, hard workers etc. If they've identified players that fit their system, and the players clubs don't want to sell, this sort thing will happen.

I'm going to hold off taking the piss until 10 games in, if they're up the top end challenging, then maybe it's not so crazy.

He's created most with his head, flick ons.

remy,bony,ighalo,

once season of 13 goals including a load of penalties and people think he is quality

They need a target man so that rules Remy out

Deeney is better than Ighalo

Possibly Bony although he might lack the work rate to fit Leicester's style of play. Would he press defenders like Vardy and Deeney would I'm not sure. Leicester have to buy hard working players to fit their team.
