So again, you cannot say that Walsh is the best in the world. It's not for me to disprove your claim, it's for you to back it up with facts when challenged

When I seen you'd replied I already knew you'd just bat this away and not give me any examples and I was right.

I said Steve Walsh has arguably been the best scout in the world over the last few years so I'm asking you to give me some examples why he is not. I've already backed it up with facts about his buys. The reason you won't disprove my claim is because you're incapable of doing it because I'm possibly right.

Mahrez £400,000
Vardy £1m
Kante £5.6m
Drinkwater 1m
Morgan £1m
Albrighton free
Fuchs free

Care to name some other scouts that have performed better?

Yeah, more than likely all of them.

Leicester can't win, if we win the league it's because of other teams failure but swap us and Chelsea's positions last season and no one would bat an eyelid and it wouldn't be mentioned.

Lets remember how the top clubs did in other competitions.

Man Utd - won the FA Cup
Man City - won the League Cup
Liverpool - Europa League Finalist
Man City - Champions League Semi Finalist
Arsenal & Chelsea - Knockout stages of the Champions League
Tottenham & Man Utd - knockout stages of the Europa League

I didn't see any other team outside the "big six" get anywhere near winning the title but because Leicester do it everyone else was having an off year, absolutely pissed it by 10pts as well.

its absolutely insane what yous have done!
but fk off eh mate ;)

10 points aswell??
should make a film about it

What's so hilarious about that?

Mahrez £400,000
Vardy £1m
Kante £5.6m
Drinkwater 1m
Morgan £1m
Albrighton free
Fuchs free

Care to name some other scouts that have performed better? Thought not. ;)

Wenger. For the last 25 years, for one.

And if you're pretending here that this fella here scouted Fuchs, Vardy, Kante, Albrighton and it makes him special, just no. Every scout in the world knew of these players. Mahrez I'll give you.

The great thing here isn't scouting these players it's making them a team, and that has zilch to do with any scout.

Bore off mate. You give no criteria for what makes a scout successful. There is nothing to say that a League Two scout bringing in players on a tight budget is less successful than a Premier League scout who can pay over the odds for players who would normally not give them a second look. There are thousands of clubs all over the world scouting players with varying degrees of success. Your arrogant claim that Walsh is the best in the world is groundless - he like every scout has had some successes, some failures and some outrageous luck. Just enjoy your success and next season before you hand the trophy back without becoming another one of those arrogant fans of clubs who won a trophy

Wenger was brilliant when he first came in buying Vieira, Henry, Petit, etc but was has he done for over a decade? There aren't many players he's bought that have been brilliant value for an absolute age.

very debatable that like imo.

Not for me it's not, Okazaki has a great work ethic but lacks quality IMO.

He scored 5 goals and zero assists last year and whilst I'm not judging him purely on stats he lacks pace, strength and height and isn't great on the ball. Some Leicester fans love him but for me he's our weak link.

It has everything to do with scouting! It's more than just seeing what skills they have, it's assessing their ethos, their fit for certain styles and tactics, their work ethic, their character and spirit, how their attributes will complement other players in your teams and vice versa, how they'll suit the league.

In fact, I'd argue your lots neglegence in assessing a lot of these factors in last summers recruitment is a big reason for your demise. A number of the players you signed had great ability and reputation but many could see how poor a fit they were for the Premier League and Villa as a side/club.

I can't see how people are disputing this to be honest. Obviously it's all relative so it's hard to compare a Premiership scout with, for example, one in the Conference (who's to say the best managerial performances aren't at lower levels with greater restrictions but they're never mentioned when discussing the best managerial performances) so that's a moot point. But you've just smashed the league with a team assembeled in its entirety for less than the cost of a single player in many of the league's teams. Almost every player was recruited and the team moulded (indirectly) by Walsh, he deserves all the credit he gets. Will be interesting how he does now his remit has changed to some extent. There's no guarantees he'll continue to be a success.

I hope to fuck that BSA stays away from PL buys. It is absolutely pathetically overpriced. Michael Keane is very average and is going for 10m +. Kone must be worth 25m.
100%. It's f***ing pathetic the price of English players. Give me 11 foreigners if this is the going rate.

Deeney on the verge of signing a new Watford contract according to John Percy. I must say £25k a week and doubling it to £50k a week seems chump change when another club have offered £30m for you. He should be wanting nearer £100k a week if they value him that highly they're not willing to sell at £32m.

The Leicester fans who have commented aren't crying in their beer either.
