£45m on deeney and Keane

Deeney puts in more effort than Defoe ever does. He works hard for the team and wins the ball and creates chances for others. He got 15 goals in a worse than average team. Wished he played for us! ... and he is handy in a punch up! My tin hat is firmly on!

As they can't attract any better...

How many did Defoe get?

Comparing Defoe to Deeney is like comparing Kirchoff to Khazri, two different players.

Defoe's job is to score goals, Deeney is expected to do so much more than just put the ball in the back of the net.

Defoe and deeney both play upfront, they'll be judged on how many goals they score overall mate. Granted deeney grafts hard. I think you could do better IMO.

We'll see, I'll be hoping to bump this next year after Deeney scores a hat-trick against Real Madrid to win the CL Final.

I like Deeney and I think he will compliment Vardy well.

At 30 million though, no thank you, if you start throwing that sort of money about then other clubs will just inflate prices on there players.

I've been on the Burnley forum yesterday when the price was touted as £10m and to a man they didn't want to sell him for that kind of money as they thought he'll go on and play for England so I trust the fans of a team that watch him week in week out.

They watch him week in, week out against Charlton, Preston and Brentford.

I hope he does! But IMO Leicester are underestimating themselves, they're the best team in England, they could buy anyone! (Apart from the obvious ).

Can't work out which is more ridiculous, Leicester winning the premier league or paying £30 million for Tory Deeney.

Or Shane Long for £40m.

We were linked with Shane Long for £25m. Like Deeney I'd have him at Leicester but at that price no thanks.

It's pointless trying to buy PL players from clubs who don't want to sell, they want the world.

Let's face it, Leicester are a joke. They can't attract any better.
Aye, it was hilarious when they won the league there. I was splitting me sides every time they won a match.

The new SKY money is going to ensure that everyone is going for 50-100% more. It's simple economics. Nobody would be batting an eyelid if it was Man City or Chelsea bidding £30 million for Deeney.
