£2 Million Taxpayer Funded Wedding

Isn’t it the policing part they aren’t paying for not the whole thing?

Yes, but don’t let that stop the anti monarchists from having their day. They get everything else wrong so how would they get their brain cell round that idea?

That's my point, why ride through the streets when it is going to cost the taxpayer in security? I'm not anti Royal but this takes the piss.

People want to see the bride. And it doesn’t matter if it’s Eugenia from the Palace or Jane, the next door neighbour. People want to see her frock and the cute bridesmaids. A carriage ride ride spreads out the well wishers and stops them from crushing each other at various vantage points.

Sell tickets then.

They should put a pea under her mattress, and if she gets a good nights sleep (not honeymoon night) she should pay all the money back imo.

The carriage costs nothing as it’s already owned by the family. Ditto for the horses. The money is to keep the rabble of well wishers safe from scary Muslims in white vans.

The well wishes will have to fend for themselves if owt happens whilst the 12 in line to the throne will be whisked away to safety
