Go to a master boot & shoe repairer if you are paying those sort of prices. Bloke I go to wont even repair some shoes "Cos they are bloody rubbish..." I took a pair of M&S shoes once to him and he said it wasn't worth his time to repair them.

I noticed they were expensive last time I wanted shoes heeled and soled. Think it was going to be about £28. The shoes only cost £60 so I just bought a new pair.
