£14.5 million for Gyokeres..

My valuation is around £30 million for Clarke , so ad happily see us Bid 15 for this guy.

Prem has the pull , but I’d love to see us get in the mix while we have the enhanced reputation for youth, progress and development.

Some kids might surprise you and think bigger picture.
Hrs 25 year old and hes just had his best ever season. He's at the point of his career where he'll be thinking of maximising his value and playing premier league football.

Fuck it, he'll probably be thinking, "if someone's going to be paid a 14.5m lump sum for me to join a club, why shouldn't it be me? I'll wait around another year."

I get Gyokeres is a decent player but the way some on here go on about him is ridiculous. He did very little across 3 play off games and would I swap him for Clarke or Stewart, no chance!

Clarke 50/50, Stewart in a heartbeat.

The lad is a younger version of Stewart who has a good chance of getting much better. He’s probably slightly better than Stewart already.

If you want to talk about going on ridiculous, then you are about a Stewart a bit. He’s had a decent 13 games in the championship, before that he’s had a good season in league one, and a few decent seasons at a low level in Scotland.

We have no clue if Stewart will come back the same player after his injury or if the spell he had wasn’t just a purple patch.

If Stewart scores 20 goals in the championship next year, we can maybe have than conversation. Gyokores currently is much more proven at a younger age.

I'm not sure he holds the ball up well enough as a target man for Everton. He would work better at West Ham where he would have the likes of Paqueta and Benrahma to feed him/play off him. I'm not sure they're particularly the right fit either though.

He'd fit Brentford or Palace really well because of the way they counter attack. He'd also be an excellent back up striker for Ollie Watkins at Villa.

I agree. I think people’s opinion of him has been massively swayed by his performance in the game against us down there. That day he was superb but Ive seen him look ordinary in others.

21 goals is a decent return but had Stewart been fit I’d have backed him to top that.

Gyokeres seems to be have a bit of a reputation for missing a high percentage of chances created for him and in the premier league unless you’re playing for a top six side, chances are few and far between.

He’ll no doubt get his move to the top flight this summer but I wouldn’t bank on him being the massive success some are suggesting.

Bargain price in today’s market. Just compare it to some other strikers signed by Premiership clubs over the last few years

Scamacca to West Ham - £30.5m
Solanke to Bournemouth - £19m
Daka to Leicester - £23m

Barely 20 league goals between them in over 150 games

If we Have to sell Clarke..

Great price regardless.

Coventry City are demanding €17 million (£14.5million) from West Ham for Viktor Gyokeres with Fulham and Crystal Palace also interested.
He's in the last year of his contract. Clarke has 3 years on his.

I like Gyokeres but as I've posted after watching him recently he seems a bit hesitant at times, he needs to be sharper to make it at the top.

He could well do it, but there are doubts. He's still class for this league.

My first question is, why are Coventry demanding euros? they'll get well ripped off when they take in to M&S Bureau de change, no wonder the fuckers keep getting in financial bother

I think an offer of £7m was made for Clarke but the club wanted £17m. Pretty sure that’ll put Burnley off sufficiently for us to have another season with Clarke!
I haven't seen much to suggest Anthony Gordon is a better player than Clarke mind. Obviously had a few seasons of varying quality with Everton in the Prem so any fee spent on him will be higher.

Che Adam’s Mark 2

I really think the price is purely newspaper speculation. I don’t think there is much doubt that Vik will move on this summer and rightly so, he’s had 2 great seasons and deserves a crack at the Premier league.
The buying club will probably announce a lower fee as they won’t want to be seen paying over the odds and they’ve got a bargain, and we as the selling club will announce it as undisclosed.
The fact that Vik is approaching the last year of his contract would make me think he would go for £18-20m.

I like Gyokeres but whilst he's dynamic I'm not sure he's polished enough to play up top by himself or a good enough finisher for the PL at the moment for someone like Everton who need an injection of quality. He'd likely be played wide there, if at all, for Dyche and he'll look to recruit someone of the ilk of Calvert Lewin who can actually stay fit.

West Ham wouldn't likely be a decent fit and Moyes as much as I dislike him is quite good at integrating players from the Championship over a period of time.

Palace and Brentford are decent shouts.

Under £20m for Gyokeres is a snip in my opinion, would also set the tone for others sniffing around some of our players. These prem teams really need to put up or shut up really.
