Haha aye they done amazingly well in the marketing department there! Those Nexus devices were class mind, but no way should a 5 year newer device not be as good!

The general public have a terrible combination of expectations when it comes to IT

1 - The cheaper the better
2 - No concept of how specs contribute to performance

This is why you see those facebook selling pages awash with dogshit £200 laptops, and those shitty HP Streams.

I found the Fire HD8 to be buggy and laggy as shit. Albeit I had Nova launcher and the Google Play store on it, so that would have contributed to the overhead on it. I took Nova off the other day (so now stuck with the standard Amazon launcher, which is dogshit), and the performance has improved a little. Still cack though.
