My girlfriend has been to Newcastle, Chelsea, man utd away, and is going to the city one and is actually up on money by winning the bets she placed to get the tickets, whereas I've had a season ticket for years and get no benefits bar saving £3 a game for reserve games.

I think there needs to be more incentive to get a season ticket for new comers as its easier and cheaper to pick and chose what games you want to go to.

But there should be a bigger rewards for long term season ticket holders

Agreed, do you think SAFC have transferred over the ticket data from Roker Park?

You'd like to think so but I doubt it

I don't know what incentives the club could give but maybe one after your first renewal, next after 5, then 10 then every year after (something along those lines)

The Sol should be practically a sell out every time we play. It only requires a little bit of a marketing tweak.
Hartlepool used the best scheme for season tickets that you can get and works perfectly, allowing clubs to still know what their projected income will be.
The more people who buy, the cheaper it is for everyone, just like that shopping channel, price drop tv!

That's what I also think they need to do.

If all season ticket holders were to pay a 'retainer' of say £400 upfront for their season card and then the club can be free to market tickets however they like all season to ensure the stadium is as full as possible.

Then at the end of the season, the club work out overall sales and if figures are good then 'compensate' season tickets holders, either in a refunded amount, or credit for next season. ie £50 refund or £100 towards next season card etc.

Therefore STH can feel confident in allowing the club to sell tickets for whatever price, knowing the more they sell, the bigger refund they will get at the end of the season.

Maybe those who have been sth since the ground opened could be given £50 off next years season ticket?

I think the club really need to freeze prices for next season..

is thee a concession corner in the n/w upper? thought it was just lower bowl that had concessions

Yeah mate, the north west upper is a concession corner

That would be great for us mate, but it won't help get more supporters into the SOL.

Chelsea and villa were paddy power 2 for £20, next 3 have offers such as Nissan schools etc. We were handing out free tickets for the west brom game, that only leave Newcastle and Stoke where there was no offers iirc. So it is actually 6 out of first 8 I think.

Man city on new years day is a paddy power 2 for £20 aswell.

How do you get these Paddy Power tickets like? I've got an account, but can't find it on their site anywhere!

I don't see what season ticket holders are moaning about. The reason you buy a season ticket is so that you get your seasons football cheaper than paying on a match by match basis. How dare you criticise others for taking advantage of a cheap ticket offer. Stop f***ing bleating you tight arsed c@nts

that's what we are saying, the first 8 home games has worked out much cheaper buying match by match

They should scrap season tickets all together and bring in unreserved seating. It will make for a better atmosphere.

just got 2 tickets for sat in the prem concoarse for £10 each from ticket office

Good we need to fill the stadium. Supply and demand.

I have a season ticket and as long as we get the odd offer I have no problem with the club trying to fill the stadium in these shockingly economic times.

Lets fill the f%cka!

If a company had 15,000 TV's to sell, they would still be there the following day and they could then start to offer deals.

However, with 15,000 seats to sell, you won't be able to sell them 'tomorrow'. Can't blame the club for trying to get what they can for them
