Dont get a season ticket then?

Exactly right. Dont just bleat on about season ticket holders getting stiffed, stop buying STs. If you are happy to live with being a ST holder and getting stiffed, dont complain. The club wont stop these offers if everyone goes along with the situation

To be fair, I think this season has been the worst for cheap tickets. Hard to forsee it when we are asked to renew before the season ends!

Totally agree. I'm fed up with getting shafted by being a ST holder so my season ticket of 23 years won't be renewed next season and i'll be taking advantage of all the cheap/free tickets from next year.

Fair play to you and I have bought 17 for the Fulham game through Portland Special Needs School none of whom would been going otherwise.

Fair play, that's where the cheap offers should be going to, schools and the odd other offers.

but you said a while back you were packing in to watch in the pubs? Or are you now just looking for valid reasons??

I have 3 main reasons for chucking it at the end of this season.

Firstly all these discounted/free tickets means I can save myself a few quid on the price of a season ticket. I'll go when I can get in cheap or free and watch in the pub when I can't.

Secondly I don't like the idea of the away supporters being above me from next season.

Lastly, I just don't enjoy it like I used to.

Not that I really need to give you a reason. It's my money and i'll do what I want with it.

quite right too

What's the benefit of been a STH now?

Priority to away games of which now 85% of them go to g.sale.
Reserve home game half of which are played at the aol behind closed doors.

And a bit discount in a over priced club store.

Not really enough I think...

Under my proposal :)lol:); any family with a child 16 or under would remain in the corners. Those that dont, will be relocated to the North/Stand stands for the same price they are paying now.

But I prefer sitting in a corner and I've sat with the people around me for over a decade. If I was shifted I wouldn't buy a ST.

As a season ticket holder I don't have a problem for a handful of games a season if they do cheap tickets.

Maybe they should sell them through existing season ticket holders?

Me neither mate but its been 5 out the first 7 games. An adult season ticket works out at £20 odd quid a game and they've give tickets away for either £10 or free. It means season ticket holders could be around £50 worse off through the games with the deals. There's a fine balance needed

Has it?

Thought it was just the next 2 coming up.

Chelsea and villa were paddy power 2 for £20, next 3 have offers such as Nissan schools etc. We were handing out free tickets for the west brom game, that only leave Newcastle and Stoke where there was no offers iirc. So it is actually 6 out of first 8 I think.

Man city on new years day is a paddy power 2 for £20 aswell.

I can understand you would be reluctant to move, but the four corners were originally set aside as concession areas offering cheap deals for families. Chances are when you first moved there, you did so because it was cheapest part of the ground (the obvious exception is the SWC but hopefully most will now move into the South Stand). Now surely its time people allowed a new generation of supporters that opportunity?

Like many I started in the corners (NEC), but as I got older I moved around the SOL. I now have a season card in the North Stand.

Btw before people moan; as we are moving the away fans to the North Stand upper, the concession corner next to them is hardly going to attract families is it?

The Sol should be practically a sell out every time we play. It only requires a little bit of a marketing tweak.
Hartlepool used the best scheme for season tickets that you can get and works perfectly, allowing clubs to still know what their projected income will be.
The more people who buy, the cheaper it is for everyone, just like that shopping channel, price drop tv!
