£10 tickets

Doubt the £10 tickets will lift the crowd to anywhere near 40k in the next two games. Again showing that it is mainly the product and not the price

A season ticket in the North Stand is £450. There are 7 Category A games @ £35 and 12 Category B games @ £29. The total full cost of those tickets would be £593.

So unless you get £143 + in discount on games over the season - 8 category B games @ £10 or 2 Category A games and 5 category B games @ £10 - a season ticket is cheaper.

So season ticket holders don't get the raw end of the deal at all.
out of our first 7 league games 5 have been available for £10, we are well on the way to that.

Are the consession corners not cheaper still

Yet another reason why this will be my last season as a season ticket holder. Absolutely no benefit whatsoever in having one if, like me, you no longer attend away games. In fact people going game by game have saved themselves quite a bit this season in comparison to a season ticket holder.

as long as they've signed up with a couple of bookies (£20 a pop?), worked for Nissan(or know someone who does) and can be bothered to go down to the ticket office to get the ticket (unless they chance pay on the gate and get a seat at the very front and get wet)

Or go to or know anyone who attends the local University or colleges as was the case for the West Brom match. In fact they were giving away so many tickets through that offer that they actually couldn't give any more away! If you know a season ticket holder you can get in against Blackburn for a tenner as well.

If they want to do it then let them get on with it but they have to realise that all they are doing is devaluing their product. No way will I even consider stumping up £450 next season when for a lot of home games this season tickets have been readily available for between £0-£10.

I don't go to the Uni (anymore), work at Nissan or bet online. I've never been offered a free or cheap ticket for the match. It seems that a lot of season ticket holders would like the ground to be empty so they can sit in smug silence about no one getting in for less than them

How do you get these tickets like ? coming up at the weekend....

There were 2 people in our pre match drinking crowd v West Brom who had free tickets courtesy of South Tyneside College. Both in their 40's and both have never attended ST College before.

I don't want the stadium to be empty but it's not my fault either that we built a stadium too big for our fanbase. They should be vastly reducing season ticket prices to compensate for the amount of free/massively discounted tickets they've given away this season. It's not fair to expect those who stump up their money before a ball has been kicked to be paying the most which is what's happening.

even after someone on the page before proved that a ST is still cheaper than hawking round for free/cheap ones?

I've got a ST. and I work at Nissan.

I'm going over to the ticket office in the morning to buy 2 cheap tickets with my ID for a guy on this message board that I have never met.

Purely because he wouldn't be going or taking his bairn if I didn't.

A bum in a seat is a bum on a seat and a voice to be heard.

Plus the bairn gets to watch the lads, and his dad gets to take his son to the match.

Worth it for that reason alone.

Good lad

How do you get these tickets like ? coming up at the weekend....

PM DiggerG he is the SMB liaison lad

SImple this one its the £££££ Clubs do not care about fans.

He said unless you get 8 cat b cheap ones and 2 cat a's I think. 5 out of the first 7 have been cheap so we are half way to hitting what would make it cheaper to buy week by week. As I said I don't mind deals for schools or s.t holders getting 2 additionals twice a season, but it's starting to be every game.

Aye it's Nissan, and fair enough it is sponsorships with paddy power but we are season ticket holders and atm it's working out more expensive to buy a season ticket. Can't see any benefits tbh

Totally agree mate. As I have posted before, the club need to do something in the summer or they risk losing thousands of season card holders.

Personally I'd do the following:

1) Reduce ticket prices in the North and South Stands
2) All adults should be removed from the corners and placed in the North or South stands at the same price. Then sell family season tickets in the corners
3) Allow fans to pay for their season tickets over 12mths DD
4) Offer a membership scheme to those that dont have season cards and reward them for buying tickets (if they buy one ticket they get £5 off their next ticket; if they buy tickets for 3 or 4 games, they get one ticket free)
5) Maybe offer reduced season cards (5 or 10 games) and allow them to be paid via DD

Fair play to you and I have bought 17 for the Fulham game through Portland Special Needs School none of whom would been going otherwise.

How would that one work? I'm 18 but still go with me dad and brother to home games..

Under my proposal :)lol:); any family with a child 16 or under would remain in the corners. Those that dont, will be relocated to the North/Stand stands for the same price they are paying now.
