He is brave, works hard, holds the ball up really well, takes a knock (and dishes them out), knows the league inside out, conducts himself superbly as a pro, and will score a few goals.

With the type of football we are playing under MON, I think he would be a cracking addition.

Add to that, he wont bottle it in the big games, and he would bring on the young lads.

I really cant see the downside, get him in.

You forgot to mention that he can no longer run and has past it which are the views of the Bolton fans that watch him week in week out.

Decent shout, height, strength and mobility, attitude is questionable but he's the sort of player MON could get a bit more from?

Just think that Cole needs a move to get his career back on track, he has all the attributes to be a good striker and wouldn't cost a fortune. Not a clue how old he is like

Really can't believe people wanting planks like Davies, Roberts, Cole, Heskey etc even short term. Never rated any of them and, like a few on here, I'd much rather blood Wickham and give him a run of games even though he does look a bit raw.

Give him minutes on the pitch but we still need someone else in to take the pressure of him IMO.

£1.5m and people on here (my fans) say i'm clueless.

500k would be a generous offer.

If it's a short-term loan deal to cover Wickham (who needs as many games as possible) then it's a decent deal.

If it's a £1.5m transfer with decent wages being paid on an 18 month deal then O'Neill needs his head examining.

Backward signing if true. I will be hugely disappointed if we do sign him as I thought we were past giving contracts to journey men footballers who are past it

If Kevin Davies is the answer, what is the question?

Which player is available for us to bring in up front on a short term basis, without costing much, who has proven can do a job in the Premiership and will suit our style of play?

Bricking it.
