Checked ya pension pot lately?

My pot has dropped over 5% in the last month

It's time in the market, not timing the market, my FA tells me

Stock market been all over this month. Seems whatever gains it makes one day it loses the next. Am convinced these stock market gurus don't have a clue and use a pin to select.

It's just all the Russia/Ukraine shenanigans. Opportunity to buy more on the cheap.
Give it a few months & likely to have recovered.

US predicted to raise interest higher than anticipated wasn’t a help. Before Christmas Omnicron wouldn’t have been an issue. Then as you say, people talking about military operations is a pain in the arse.

Been trickling up every week for months now.Its gone through these phases in the past, why? Ive no idea what so ever. Not complaining.

checked last night, got a surprise! I say surprise, I mean shock. Rejigged future investments so 20% goes into a different fund. Will review in a couple month as I’m thinking of dumping one closed pot all together.

The market will do what the market will do.

You can check it regularly or ignore it altogether.

If its a pension and you're approaching retirement then the option to put it into a safer fund, bonds or even cash equivalent is a very real consideration.

If you're in an ISA you can transfer it as well but the market is so volatile where do you put it? Bonds offer fairly poor returns and you should remember that the markets always bounce back eventually.

If the market is still low at the turn of financial year I'll be tempted to stuff more in... I'll just have a look down the back of the settee

I stuck 20,000 of my redundancy in a stocks and shares ISA last Tuesday, only for the market have its worst week since 2008. Lost about 750 quid in 2 days, typical 😄

First time I've ever dabbled in anything like this, I had done a bit research and the last 4 years was all decent returns.

It's there for the next 15 years so hopefully will crawl back.

I'm 47, so 57 is the target

I wouldn't worry too much just yet marra

I worked with a lad who was flapping in 2008/9 when the credit crunch hit - he retired 2 years ago with a pension which will keep him for life
