“The face is clearly visible from the beach“ but we’re going to draw a giant ring around it just so you can tell what we mean.

I bet papers have been doing canny well over the last few months. Plenty of folk with time on their hands to read them. the echo is an embarrassment now, a school sixth form could knock out better quality.
Agree - and I don’t like the website layout- it needs a proper refresh. It also does not render professionally.

So perhaps one of you could have a look at that and suggest it at this mornings meeting to get your brownie points.

(For the echo lads and lasses)

the website has been notoriously shite for years

can't see it - old people/commuters buy paper and shops advertise in them - surely they'll have had a massive downtick in sales and advertising revenue during all this, online is a different matter

The echo is a VIZ parody snoozepaper,at least when we were kids it had secondary functions, Start and bleeze the fire, emergency bog paper, line the bottom of the budgies cage etc, it's had its day however.

They're more than aware how shit it is but the site is designed for advertising (badly) rather than news and they don't control anything other than the content that sits on the page. Loads of local news sites on the same shit infrastructure and they're equally as bad to load and navigate.

I haven’t bought a paper version for years. Online version is poor quality and regularly contains spelling and grammatical errors in reports.

Does the paper copy still have the letters page? Same folk writing in each week.
