Anyone hear that racket last night? Sounded like a huge pneumatic drill, probably on the A19, from around 3am? Can't be putting up with that for the next two years.
Surely they should be doing that through the day?
Northallerton or Gosforth end?

They should, it might catch on. Railway engineering should be done during the day too.

The A19 is closed between Lindisfarne and Testo between 8pm on Friday and 6am on Monday while they take down the bridge.
I'm in Fellgate too, we face right onto A19 and it kept hubby awake. I got up went to the loo and didnt hear a thing!
Although, when they go round dropping the cones I hear every single one of them.
Cannot deal with all this work for the next 2 years! They've not long had us all weake through the night resurfacing the road!
