England in the West Indies

That will probably do them good,

good game

You have to be the most negative cricket fan on here, of course we are favourites, we are the best in the world

Eh? We lose 1 game and we are chokers?

And we have a choker tag? news to me
We aren't chokers, but it shows how easy it is to bugger a game up. The Stokes dismissal was pivotal, with everything that went with it.

these choking world champions eh
World champions? Is that in the same world that Leeds are perennial champions of Europe?
I'd like you to explain how we aren't the favourites? we are number one in the world and won our last 6 series

What more do you want?

Do you now expect us to win every ODI game we ever play
No but I expect us to show signs that we are improving our weaknesses. Yes it doesn't happen often but often enough to be concerned that in a pressure game in a world cup the old flaws will be exposed

I don't see how that was more of a pressure game than others

You can't win every game like, we aren't good enough to do that. But this is the best ODI we have ever had, and I don't get any remote criticism of them personally.

Also West Indies player very well

Of course it wasn't a pressure game (but more meaningful than the last time we won a close one, the dead rubber against the worst Australia side to tour this country). If we're f***ing up in this kind of game it's likely we would do so in a must win world cup game as well. This is a very good side but I just think the hype and expectation that they're going to cruise to the title at home is over the top. Now many won't care but to me it will be a complete waste of 4 years where we've gone backwards in Test cricket and the longer forms have been neglected by the EGG.

I just don't get any aspect of this post on any level

ffs not a cricket man are you? chokers? the windies were brilliant

Perennial chokers under the pump, that’s why we’ve never won a World Cup. They pull a Lad off the beach and he bowls us out.

That will probably do them good,

good game

Fold like Origami under pressure.

Hard to lose the choker tag when you continue to choke.

We have the best one day side in my lifetime (I am 47) the team for the last 3/4 years have played a exciting fantastic brand of one day cricket which in turn has produced winning results.

Yet amazingly negatives rather than positives are focussed on by some.

Bit perspective needed imo

When did we last lose a series

Lose one game that’s it, we have a brilliant one day side, you are dead right on your posts people have very short memories

Still struggle when the pitches aren’t flat, becoming more of a worry. Stokes review cost us most though, meant that Curran couldn’t review that corrupt dismissal - still don’t understand how a West Indian can be umpiring this game when he gives decisions like that....

What really annoys me, and it happens with the test side slightly to, is that we lose the attitude is "this is the game that really mattered and we lost". Somehow losing this ODI means more than winning one against the same opposition at the same ground only 2 days earlier!

The pitch was flat, don't agree with your statement personally, we have won last 6 series and played in all sorts of conditions.

West Indies are going to win games, they have some unreal talent

The ball reacted under the cutters in particular and we couldn’t find a way to up the scoring rate against them, and lost wickets to stupid shots. This happens every time the pitch does something, see the Champions Trophy game against Pakistan as a prime example. And the World Cup will be on these same pitches
