Charlie Methven Sets 40,000 Target

We’re averaging 30,000, sold 23,000 season tickets pre-season and could possibly break 40,000 on Boxing Day all in League 1.
Yet there are still people on here giving it the old negativity about fans who are not attending, the miserable glass half empty fuckers, they’ll always fuckin find something to moan about.

that's us exactly, we were all there the night we got beat at home by Hartlepool in the Freight Rover in front of 7/8000. 10 of us attending on Boxing Day
I was at that game. Brian Honour scored direct from a corner iirc? Bit of The Fulwell End roof blew off that night. Wind was ridiculous.

Went up a couple of years ago on Boxing Day against Hull. Took wifey and both kids, got a taxi there and back and treated the family to Quinny’s Bar.
We lost.
My missus uttered the immortal words as we sat there freezing “ Can I ask you something . Why do you come and watch this crap ?”

Thinking back to all my previous visits there was a common theme of a brilliant weekend apart from that hour and a half requiring the ticket

You should go to Scotland games mate, tremendous weeks away spoilt by 90
Mins of dross

Windy willis scores mate

If we were drawn against the mags at home in the cup, the place would be packed to the rafters, the missing fans would all suddenly emerge, climbing over themselves to be there.

The fans are out there, 40,000 at home on boxing day should be a piece of piss.

Shame if we don't really, as I've loved every minute of this campaign so far and I reckon a decent game on boxing day for a few of the stay aways could just reignite that spark once again

I've enjoyed the season so far and I don't even think we have played our best football yet. If we can get anywhere never 40k it will be unbelievable....
